Wakefield, MA – Wakefield Co-operative Bank is proud to sponsor the 8th annual virtual Parent University; this is the bank’s 7th year sponsoring the event, which is presented by Wakefield Public Schools, Wakefield Parent Partnership, Wake-Up Coalition, WCAT and Mystic Valley Public Health Coalition.
This year’s virtual workshops run Tuesday and Thursday evenings through April 1st and Keynote Speaker, Marc Brackett, Ph.D.’s webinar “Raising Emotionally Intelligent Children” is available to view online through Monday, March 29th. Choice workshops are facilitated by Wakefield Public Schools staff and community partners and topics span all grade levels and focus on remote learning, social emotional health, and technology support.
Wakefield Co-operative Bank’s “Raising Money Savvy Kids” workshop, presented by Tom Elkins, Managing VP at Trilogy Financial in Woburn, will take place Tuesday, March 30th from 7-8pm. This session will provide practical techniques to use with your children to help them grow and become money savvy. The session will provide tools for kids at every age level and discuss saving, spending, investing, jobs, debt, budgets and even touch on building credit. With each topic there will be age appropriate items you can work on with your children.
