Wakefield Co-operative Bank has been hosting monthly Lunch + Learn events at Brightview on Crescent Street since the senior living community opened late last year. The sessions are designed to educate and provide valuable information, as it relates to seniors, on topics such as trusts & estates, wealth management, cyber security, and more.
March’s Lunch + Learn featured guest speaker, Nate Gravel, VP, Information Security and IT at GraVoc, located in Peabody, MA. Gravel spoke with 20 Brightview residents about how to spot potential social engineering scams and phishing phone calls, which have become a popular way of stealing money from elders, along with password, credit, and identity protection. Lunch was sponsored by the bank and provided by House Calls Catering in Wakefield.
