Wakefield Co-operative Bank’s Veteran Affairs & Mortgage Specialist, Jason Donovan, recently presented a donation to North Shore Community College’s (NSCC) Veterans Center in Danvers, which will help stock the center with supplies to kick off the fall semester.
Donovan, a Wakefield resident and former Naval Petty Officer, was a student at North Shore Community College and utilized the Veterans Center support resources when he returned home from serving in Afghanistan. The Veterans Center offers career, counseling and disability services, academic advising, and financial assistance to provide education and training to Veterans and current members of the armed forces.
“We are extremely proud of Jason and all his hard work,” said Kristine Babcock, NSCC Veterans Services Coordinator. “This donation is so appreciated and will really be put to good use serving our student Veterans.”
“I can’t say enough about Kristine and the way the Veterans Center resources helped when I returned from overseas,” said Donovan. “The center is really making a difference in the lives of Vets and I am happy to present this donation on behalf of the bank.”
Donovan joined Wakefield Co-operative Bank in 2017 and specializes in VA mortgage loans, helping other Veterans and active military members become homeowners. To learn more about the bank’s VA lending options, please visit www.wakefieldcoop.com/VAloans .
