July 4th Fireworks Sponsor

Fireworks Sponsor Wakefield Co-op Bank

Wakefield Co-operative Bank is the Elite Top Sponsor of the West Side Social Club (WSSC) 4th of July Festivities for the fifth year in a row. The 2019 WSSC theme is American Heroes – 75th Anniversary of D-Day and will honor Beverly Elecwicz.

“There are no amount of words to properly thank the employees at Wakefield Co-operative Bank for what they do for us each year, or to explain what an instrumental role the bank plays in making Wakefield the place to be on the Fourth!” said Carol Hubbard, Co-Chair of the WSSC 4th of July Committee. “We appreciate all of them more than they know.”

The WSSC children’s events begin at 7AM at the lake and include a fishing derby, pet show, mini-parades, races, and kayaking across Lake Quannapowitt. There will be food and vendors on the common throughout the day, and the Wakefield Independence Day Committee (WIDC) 4th of July Parade begins at 5pm, running from North Ave. to Main Street.  Evening entertainment kicks off at 6:30pm at Lake Quannapowitt with the Buckley Brothers Band, followed by the spectacular fireworks display at 9:30pm.
