Mohammed Bezzat, Vice President of Retail Branch Administration & Business Development Officer, is pleased to announce the addition of Evon Gerges as Assistant Vice President & Manager of the bank’s upcoming debut branch at 526 Main Street in Melrose.
Ms. Gerges has worked in the financial industry for over 30 years, most recently with Metro Credit Union and previously at Salem Five Bank as a Branch Manager, where she led staff development and branch operations with a keen focus on customer needs and service.
In her new role with Wakefield Co-operative Bank, Ms. Gerges will oversee the Melrose branch team and exemplify the bank’s goals of superior customer relations and an expanded presence in Melrose as a community partner and neighbor.

Ms. Gerges lives in Peabody with her husband of 30 years and two children, whom she enjoys traveling and volunteering at church with. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from College of Commerce in Cairo, Egypt.
