In support of the West Side Social Club, Wakefield Co-operative Bank made a generous contribution in the amount of $1,000.
Founded in 1936, the West Side Social club has long been a gathering place where men and women of all walks of life share good cheer and love for their community.
The WSSC gathers each year on Memorial Day to pay tribute to local heroes who have fallen in the defense of our country.
Further exemplifying the civic pride of the West Side Social Club is their annual Independence Day celebration. What began as a modest fireworks display over Moulton Playground has grown into a massive celebration on Wakefield Common which welcomes tens of thousands each July 4th.
