Wakefield Co-operative Bank presented a check in the amount of $216 to A Healthy Lynnfield. Monies raised were collected from the Bank's Jeans Day fundraiser.
A Healthy Lynnfield engages town departments, residents, school, parents, youth, the faith community, local governments, businesses, civic organizations and health professionals in its work. Efforts include: Substance misuse prevention education, enhancing opportunities for young people to lead on this issue through LHS Youth Action Team, working with public safety to ensure lives are saved and referrals are made for treatment and family support, working with health care and behavioral health partners to ensure resources are accessible and reducing stigma associated with this disease. To date, the Bank's Jeans Day, a monthly employee fundraiser, has raised over $27,000 for local, nonprofits since the program's inception!
