'Parent University' Opens Door to Resources for Parents

Wakefield Co-operative Bank was the proud sponsor of Wakefield Public Schools’ 2nd annual Parent University on Saturday, March 21st at the Galvin Middle School. Local parents were invited to attend the event and take part in a variety of workshops on student-related topics such as ADHD & anxiety, technology, saving for college, effective behavioral strategies, reading, and more.

Keynote speaker, Carrie Stack, a Certified Life Coach, Author, and Trainer at the Say Yes Institute spoke with parents about communicating effectively with their children and the power positive energy and perspective have in creating a happy, well-rounded life.

Michael Wolnik, President & CEO of Wakefield Co-operative Bank, also addressed the audience and spoke about the bank’s passion and commitment to bettering the community we live, work, and go to school in. “We are proud and pleased to partner with the school system and other local organizations that, like us, are passionate about helping our community and its residents with what we can offer. We commend Dr. Zrike and his team for implementing such an impressive and innovative program.”
